We understand juggling work and home can be challenging, and that is why, where possible, we strive to offer employees a level of flexibility to help balance home life with work. Depending on your role, you may be eligible to work flex hours and/or work remotely from time to time. Additionally, membership fees for a large global network of child, elder, home and pet caretakers are also paid by Legg Mason on behalf of employees.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
We know you need downtime to take care of the things that are important to you. Whether it’s for vacation, personal and family needs or illness, we provide paid time off to all our regular employees. Employees may receive 22-33 PTO days per year, depending on status and length of service.
Paid Parental Leave
Legg Mason offers an industry-leading policy to enhance work/life balance for parents welcoming a new child. Our Paid Parental Leave benefit allows ALL parents up to twelve (12) weeks of paid time at 100% of base salary for a qualifying event. Further, Legg Mason will reimburse expenses related to shipping breast milk home to a child for mothers that are traveling after returning to work.
Education and Development
Continue your career growth through our tuition reimbursement program, as well as in-house classes and experiential training. We have a culture of intellectual curiosity and learning, and we offer employees $8,000 per year in tuition reimbursement, as well as other learning opportunities.
Consistent with our mission of Investing to Improve Lives, Legg Mason matches employee charitable contributions, provides employees with an additional day of PTO to volunteer, and coordinates a program to match employees with non-profit boards.
You can use pretax dollars to pay for commuting expenses, including transit passes and parking fees.
Our competitive compensation is designed to attract and engage talent that drives our business strategy. In addition to your salary, compensation may include discretionary incentive awards, commissions, and other monetary and non-monetary recognition programs. We remain committed to continuing to provide competitive total compensation.
Save for your retirement by participating in our 401(k) plan. You'll receive a 100% match on the first 3% of your eligible compensation that you contribute, and 50% on the next 3%. Additionally, we offer an annual discretionary profit sharing program to further show our appreciation to our employees.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan
Our Employee Stock Purchase Plan gives you the opportunity to purchase Legg Mason common stock through payroll deductions on an after-tax basis. You will also receive a 15% match on your purchases.
