Caryn founded Arience Capital in August 2002. Prior to founding Arience, Caryn was a partner at Glenview Capital Management, a $1 billion long/short investment fund. Prior to Glenview, she served as Managing Director and Senior Analyst at Iridian Asset Management, where she was responsible for coverage of a broad spectrum of industries including cable, media, defense and aerospace, consumer products, computer services, specialty chemical, wireless and leisure. From 1994 until she joined Iridian, Caryn was an analyst at Arnhold & S. Bleichroeder, initially in risk arbitrage and later for its private investment fund. Caryn received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
