As a global asset manager, Legg Mason is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen and has a strong focus on sustainability and the environment.  Climate change is one of the most challenging issues of our time and protecting and preserving our environment is of paramount importance to Legg Mason as well as to many of our shareholders, clients, business partners, and employees.  It is critical that we collectively work towards viable environmental solutions and make improvements now for a more sustainable future. We promote active engagement on sustainability among our global colleagues and continually work to embrace positive steps to protect the environment.

Carbon Disclosure Project

One of our important actions to deliver on our commitment to corporate responsibility is our role as a member of, and a signatory to, the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a collaboration of leading global companies that is working together to create more corporate disclosure around environmental practices by gathering data from companies worldwide. Through the Carbon Disclosure Project, we participate in the reporting of carbon emission risks and opportunities, emissions accounting, plans to reduce emissions, and governance.
